Langdon School was visited by Ofsted on 29 April 2025.  Here’s a summary of some of the lovely things they found out about our school:

‘Langdon Primary School has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection.

This small, welcoming village school places the pupils at the heart of everything it does. Pupils are happy and thriving. They feel safe and well cared for. Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the school. Staff prioritise getting to know every family individually and are ambitious for every pupil to reach their full potential. Inclusion is firmly embedded within the school’s ethos.

Staff have high expectations for every pupil to succeed. Pupils are highly engaged in lessons. As a result, they achieve well. . . .

Behaviour is exemplary. Pupils want to exceed the high expectations that are set for them. Kindness and respect permeate all aspects of school life. The school’s values of confidence, motivation, independence and resilience are fundamental to the school’s work in setting these expectations. Pupils talk positively about some of the wider opportunities they experience.’
