The end of Key Stage Two SATs, based on the newly introduced National Curriculum, were significantly harder than in previous years according to government sources. However, pupils at Langdon still managed to show everyone how well they have learned in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The national figure for those reaching the expected level in all three subjects was 53%. The figure at Langdon shows that 83% of our pupils reached the expected level, a whopping 30% above the national picture! And, if that’s not enough to impress, the national figure for children working at greater depth is 5% but Langdon children beat this too, with 25% of pupils reaching the greater depth standard.
Well done to all of our Year 6 pupils and to the staff who have taught them.
